This was the first time a virtual tour was offered of the eCity Trade Show. Many teams are unable to attend because they don’t work in this building or close to it. Providing this live stream made it possible for staff to attend from their desk or watch it on demand at a later date.
Budgeting is a huge undertaking for large corporations that impacts everybody. With so many interested parties it’s often difficult to make time for them all. Calgary’s Historic City Hall is 108 years old and the only surviving city hall from this time period in Western Canada. It’s been there through it all: Elections, natural disasters and the Olympics.
City volunteers planned, constructed and planted, and continue to maintain and harvest the Municipal Garden. It is located on the south side of the Municipal Building above the parkade, within The City of Calgary’s Memorial Garden. Growing our own food – no matter how little – reduces the distance our food travels. This saves energy and reduces our impact on the environment.
